Nokia is re releasing a version of their most popular phone the 3310. The 3310 is qualified as their “feature” phone and runs on a 2.5G connectivity, which is slower than 4G. The phone will have web browsing but is very limited compared to Android and the camera is just 2 megapixels. But the battery life is the selling point because it has a life of 22 hours of talk time. It will also have an updated version of the classic snake game. The phone will go for only $51.
I think it is a really smart idea for Nokia to launch an updated version of the 3310. When every new phone that comes out is bigger, more complex, and more fragile Nokia changes things up. There are a lot of people who are tired of paying $200 for phone and just want a phone that makes calls and lasts. The Nokia 3310 is known for being almost indestructible and having a long battery life. If you go into a phone store now it’s hard to find non smart phones and you have to pay way too much for a phone. I think this is great marketing for Nokia when the market is saturated in fancy phones that break after two weeks.
