Well it looks like Christmas is coming early this year, Amazon just announced that they will be releasing a new version of their highly requested and well known Amazon fire stick, or to others just Fire stick. For those of you who aren’t familiar with what a Fire stick is, it’s a streaming service provided by Amazon that you plug into the HDMI port of your TV. It allows you to stream thousands of apps as well as movies and TV shows etc… The newer version will feature a voice control called “Alexa”, and that’s not all. This addition means that those who are Fire stick users will be able to perform tasks like finding content by genre and starting up apps without using any of the buttons on the remote that comes with it. Having voice controls allows you to go back 30 seconds weather you’re watching a show or a movie. Only sad thing is that the voice control seems to work only for amazon apps, not any other third party apps such as Netflix. Amazon has also stated that this version of the Fire stick will be 30% faster than the previous models. It’s also less expensive to other brands such as Roku’s streaming stick and apple TV. The Firer stick is on sale for $39.99, while the Roku stick cost $49.99, and Apple at a whopping $149.00. The new Amazon Fire stick is set to be released on October 20 of this year. Not to mention that the famous holiday sale known as black Friday is a month later after the release, so chances are you can get it for even cheaper than what it originally cost.
